Great food, fantastic service, amazing location! Best patty melt and fried mushrooms I've ever had hands-down. Went here on a whim and we're glad we did! Were treated like valued customers and our meals each cost only about $15, and that's with a drink and appetizer! Will definitely be coming back here when in the area. We always have a good experience at Rudy’s! The food is delicious and comes out fast. The waitresses are friendly and ready to top off your coffee cup. The breakfast is delicious. If you like squash, their squash casserole is a must-try! Even if the restaurant is full when you come in, just give it a few minutes and they will have a table or booth ready for you.
I’m in town from Chicago visiting my mother and she suggested we come here because my picky toddler loves pancakes. I’m so glad we did! The country fried steak special was to die for with the homemade sides. The absolute star of the show for me is the coconut cake. The waitress said her grandma makes all the dessert and things from scratch. I will definitely be going again before I head home, and I will be dreaming of this meal until my next visit down here. Family friendly, delicious home made food, excellent prices.
This is my absolute favorite place to go in Murray. I bring all of my friends and family every time they come to visit. Every single thing is amazing there. There a weekday specials that are amazing. They fill you up on a budget and surrounded by great people. There's nothing better than that.
I’m not local to the area. This restaurant was recommended to me by a person at my delivery. Everything here is very well seasoned and very well prepared. I really honestly did not know what I was getting into but I am so glad that I came. I had the fried catfish their grilled citrus, salmon, fries, the macaroni salad, and the peach cobbler. I would definitely make it my business to be back here again. The customer service was great and they treat you like family. You cannot beat the prices here I had two separate meals and including my tip I was just north of $30.
Awesome small town diner. The food, service, and prices are superb. We come to Murray about twice a year to visit the grandkids and always stop in for some great food. The service is super, if you are a local or visiting, make sure to stop in and eat. The catfish on Friday was off the charts 👍
If you're looking for elegant dining in a dignified setting... This ain't it! If you're looking for good Southern cooking, great service, and a down home setting, you've got it! And with that special modern rarity: good prices. Having just paid fifteen bucks for a greasy cheeseburger, small fries, and small milkshake at another place 80 miles away, I loved Rudy's prices. Big breakfast with coffee for under ten bucks! Warning: no handicapped relief facilities on premises. Toilets are upstairs and I do mean "upstairs." Like 20 steps! But... Semi-unique setting right downtown on the square and Murray's oldest continuing restaurant. Friday is fish day and it's great! Real hushpuppies, two styles of Cole slaw, delicious fried fish, and choice of potato. And... authentic iced sweet tea.
